I first became acquainted with Jann and her team when her name was suggested to our research team (of which I was a member) that was carrying out a study which involved carrying out hour-long interviews which then needed to be transcribed in order for us to proceed with qualitative analysis of the data.  There would always be 2 and sometimes 3 members of the research team involved as well as the research subject we were interviewing – so a fairly complex audio file to transcribe .  I personally edited all the transcriptions against the digital recordings and was amazed to see the quality of the work both in terms of its accuracy and the rapid turnover time to have the transcriptions completed.
